Lando Takes His First F1 Win
The 2024 Miami Grand Prix saw the young Brit put on a cool, calm and collected performance, claiming his maiden win in F1.
Initially, it seemed as if it would be Norris’ teammate, Piastri, who would be taking home a podium for McLaren. However, a safety car joined the grid at the midway point and played entirely into Norris’ hands, allowing him to extend the gap between him and his Red Bull rival, Verstappen, who followed in second.
Celebrating his win, Norris claimed “I’m proud of everyone in this team today. I’ve always believed in them, and they’ve always had faith in me, and today we’ve really justified that.”
