Phil Hill was a very talented American Formula One driver, who won the championship in 1961. The 1958 F1 season marked Hill’s first season driving in the series where he joined Maserati during the sixth race at the French Grand Prix. The highlight of the season came during the final two rounds of the season at the Italian Grand Prix and the Moroccan Grand Prix. Phil Hill put together two exceptional drives and finished third in both Grands Prix.
